What is answer engine optimization?
Making sure an assistant can find you, read you, and has a reason to name you when someone asks for a recommendation in your trade. It is not about ranking a page, because in an answer there is no list of ten and usually no click at all.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO gets a page ranked so somebody clicks it. AEO gets a business named when nobody clicks anything. The technical groundwork overlaps. What does not overlap is where the answer comes from: much of it is built out of pages you did not write, on sites you do not own.
Do I need an agency for this?
Not for all of it. Some items are an afternoon of work and we will name them so you can do them yourself. You need somebody else when the answer depends on sites you do not control, because that part is slow and it is where most of the difference sits.
